Good times, great music at The Goodland
Every Thursday night at 7:00 pm, the Good Bar patio transforms into one of Santa Barbara's best outdoor live music venues. With The Goodland Presents we've created an intimate and personal music series that introduces you to some of our favorite musicians and provides the soundtrack to an unforgettable evening. Join us—with a drink in hand if you like—to take in performances from up-and-coming bands and artists, while a warm California evening acts as the perfect backdrop.
November 7: The Oles
Born between the Pacific Ocean and the Santa Ynez foothills on the south facing shores of Santa Barbara, The Olés have been making "the kind of music you put on while cruising to the beach at sunset" for the past 6 years. A love for the sound, the community, and the lifestyle bleeds through in their ever evolving sound, rooted in reggae, hip hop, and soul. Cutting their teeth at Isla Vista house parties, The Olés have played across the Western U.S. - from Colorado to Washington and back down to SoCal - sharing stages with the likes of Rebelution, Don Carlos, Passafire, Hirie, and The Mad Caddies.
November 14: Mexico City Blondes
Allie Thompson and Greg Doscher met in Santa Barbara, California and got off to an inspired start. Their first single, “Fade”, was a sudden success on the blogosphere. The pair continued to collaborate on a series of well-received follow-ups (“Colors”, “Watery Dreams”) and later released a self-titled EP of six songs and a run of shows on the West Coast. Taking some time to build out a new studio, they are thrilled to release “Blush” through Burger Records, having long admired the roster and DIY ethos of the label.
November 21: Let Flo Go
Soulful lyrics with sibling harmonies. Let Flo Go is comprised of two sisters with incredible harmonies sung to a unique repertoire of originals with vibes ranging from Indie / Acoustic / Rock. If you see a live performance, you cannot miss the chemistry between these two as they interact with the crowd, laugh at and with each other, and create an atmosphere that makes people stay and listen.
