Good times, great music at The Goodland
Every Thursday night at 7:00 pm, the Good Bar patio transforms into one of Santa Barbara's best outdoor live music venues. With The Goodland Presents we've created an intimate and personal music series that introduces you to some of our favorite musicians and provides the soundtrack to an unforgettable evening. Join us—with a drink in hand if you like—to take in performances from up-and-coming bands and artists, while a warm California evening acts as the perfect backdrop.
August 8: Queen Tide
Queen Tide is a fierce, confident collection of musicians whose sun-caught rhythms combine with a harmonious trilogy of voices and are backed by whimsical-yet-stated guitar riffs. Queen Tide are genre-benders, effortlessly blending classic California surf rock with a modern doo-wop twist.
August 15: David Segall
Raised on roots rock, soul and calypso, singer-songwriter David Segall began his music career in Santa Barbara at the age of 17. He has since taken his music throughout the U.S. and across Europe. Inspired by the world-fusion groove of artists like Harry Belafonte, the Beatles, Bob Marley, and Paul Simon, David's soulful songs and upbeat lyrics get audiences on their feet and dancing.
August 23 (Friday Show): Emily Afton
Emily Afton’s voice is, to put it simply, transporting. Powerful and emotive, Emily delivers her soul in the form of nostalgic indie-pop songs interwoven with dark ribbons of folk and electronica. Afton aims to snatch your heart in her live performances, with haunting, vocal-driven narratives in the style of Fiona Apple followed by heavy synths and up-tempo dance tracks.
August 29: Roderick Chambers
When Roderick Chambers takes the stage you are assured something magical is about to happen. His soulful voice and smooth musical style is reminiscent of some of the icons of pop, soul and R&B. Covering the hits of Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, Bruno Mars and many more, everyone is sure to hear at least one of their favorite songs!
